The Kingman Railroad Museum will be celebrating National Train Day this coming Saturday from 10:00am - 4:00pm with:

• A train themed RAFFLE (tickets are $1 each or $5 for six)
You can purchase your raffle tickets at the museum during normal operating hours this Wednesday, through Saturday at 3:00pm. Winners need not be present to win.
All week long we are selling $1 raffle tickets.The prizes include 3 different model train sets and winners do not need to be present Saturday. Tickets are $1 each, or 6 tickets for $5. Come on down Wednesday through Friday to buy them in advance, or buy them next Saturday (by 3:00pm) at our Train Day Celebration Open House. The more tickets you buy, the better your chances of winning one of these great sets.

Okay, so they weren't really crumbling but they ARE coming down and being replaced with all new cliff scaping. We can't wait! A sample of the new wall texture was brought in by Dennis and it looked pretty realistic.

The Whistlestop Railroad Club will be hosting a series of "HOW TO.." railroad modeling classes. The first class is February 4th and will focus on designing layouts. Come and learn all about basic layout design, track sizes, designing curves and planning switches and such! to edit.
The Whistle Stop Railroad Club members chose to have a Potluck this year and the food did not disappoint. It was a very nice event.

We have lots of great exhibits and model train layouts that children enjoy looking at. But, we also have a hands-on activity center where they can play with railroad related toys. Come on down and visit us anytime from Wednesday through Sunday, 10am - 4pm daily.
Tomorrow is the big day! The Andy Devine Days Parade will start at 10:00am and we will be there with our float. Rumor has it there might be some bandits trying to hold up the float while we pass out candy. We can't wait and hope to see you there.

Our volunteers are the best! As a small nonprofit group, our volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We couldn't do it without them, and we deeply value their passion and the time they invest in both the museum and in community.
Today, Jennifer F., Lorraine B. and Chuck B. worked on one of the railroad car cutouts that will be used on our float for this years parade during the Best of the West On 66 Fest.
The 2016 Festival will once again take place on Andy Devine Days PRCA Rodeo weekend: Friday & Saturday, September 23 & 24.
Things will kick off on Friday with entertainment and activities Downtown. Saturday starts off with the Andy Devine Days Parade. Immediately following the Parade, the Best of the West Car Show will begin filling in along the same route. This year vendors will be near all of the action for the entire event.
Event Area: Beale Street between Third and Fifth Streets with vendors on Fourth Street between Andy Devine Ave and Oak street.
Event Dates: September 23 & 24, 2016 (Friday & Saturday)
